Forum Policy for all Classifieds Categories
1. Introduction This policy outlines the rules and guidelines for posting and engaging in any Classifieds category on our forum. Compliance with these rules is mandatory to ensure the safety, legality, and responsible exchange of items, firearms and ammunition among forum members.
2. Eligibility and Verification
- Verification: All members are required to agree to this policy before gaining access to related categories.
- New Users: Have an opportunity to agree at signup and will automatically have access to the classifieds categories.
- Existing Users: Will have to explicitly agree to the policy in their Profile Preferences settings.
- Unselecting the policy agreement in Profile settings will result in automatic revocation of access to classifieds policy until the user explicitly agrees again.
3. Legal Compliance

Federal Laws: All transactions must comply with federal laws, including the National Firearms Act (NFA) and the Gun Control Act (GCA).

State and Local Laws: Members must adhere to all state and local laws governing the sale and transfer of firearms and ammunition.

Licensed Dealers: Firearms transfers must be conducted through a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder, where required by law.
4. Posting Guidelines
- Format: Follow the post Guidelines topic in the category on how to post a listing.
Prohibited Items: The following are prohibited from being listed:- Unregistered NFA firearms
- Homemade firearms or “ghost guns”
- Armor-piercing or incendiary ammunition
- Items that exceed legal limits, such as magazine capacity.
- Any items not compliant with federal, state, or local laws
- Accuracy: All information provided in the listing must be accurate and truthful.
5. Transaction Procedures
All members are solely responsible for following all local, state and federal law when transferring firearms, ammunition or other regulated items.

FFL Transfers: Firearm transactions MUST be completed through an FFL dealer!. This includes:
- Ensuring the dealer is properly licensed.
- Completing all required paperwork and background checks.
- Complying with any waiting periods mandated by law.

Shipping:
- It is STRONGLY recommended that you do not offer or accept shipping!
- Firearms must be shipped to an FFL dealer through a local FFL dealer, not directly to the buyer.
- Ammunition must be shipped in compliance with carrier regulations, federal and state laws, typically through carriers like UPS or FedEx, and may require adult signature upon delivery.

Record Keeping:
- Both buyer and seller should maintain records of the transaction, including copies of any communications, receipts, and confirmation of FFL transfer.
- A bill of sale is recommended, detailing the transaction and signed by both parties.
6. Safety and Conduct

No Private Sales: Direct sales of firearms or NFA items between private parties without an FFL intermediary are not allowed.

Communication: All communications should be conducted through the forum’s private messaging system to ensure a record of interactions. Avoid sharing personal contact information publicly on posts.

Meetings: If an in-person meeting is necessary, choose a safe, public location such as a police station parking lot. Avoid meeting at private residences. If firearm transaction, you will be required to complete the transfer at an FFL, make sure you contact your FFL before showing up to facilitate a transfer.

Scams and Fraud:
- Be vigilant for scams or fraudulent listings. Report any suspicious activity or potential scams to the forum moderators immediately.
- Common red flags include prices that are too good to be true, pressure to complete the transaction quickly, and requests for untraceable payment methods.
7. Moderator Oversight

Enforcement: Violations of this policy may result in:
- Removal of the listing
- Temporary suspension of the member’s account
- Permanent banning from the forum for repeated or severe violations
- Legal action if illegal activities are discovered

Reporting Mechanism: Members can report posts or users that they believe are violating the policy through direct message to the Staff.

Content Review: Some or all classifieds categories may implement a 48-hour review window allowing Staff to review new posts before being posted in the category. The review result is not final and may be adjusted at any time by a member of Staff if the post is found to be inappropriate, violating any policy or terms and services as defined by this forum.
8. Disclaimers

Liability: The forum is not liable for any transactions conducted through the classifieds section. Members engage in transactions at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring all legal requirements are met.

Transaction Facilitation: The Forum and it’s owners do NOT in any way facilitate any transactions .The Forum and it’s owners do not handle ANY inventory (including firearms and ammunition), payments or transaction details of transacting members. All classifieds listings are created and handled by their authors (the user). The forum is only a platform, ALL members are solely responsible for following the law when transacting with other members.

No Liability Clause: By participating in classifieds categories, members agree to release the forum and its administrators from any liability arising from transactions or interactions within this category. This includes, but is not limited to, liability for personal injury, property damage, legal repercussions, and financial losses.

Dispute Mediation: The forum does not mediate disputes between members. Members are encouraged to communicate clearly and keep records of their transactions.

Item Possession: All items listed in the classifieds are in the possession of the original post author. The forum owners or staff do not process, hold, or store any items listed in the classifieds unless explicitly specified.

Policy Updates: This policy may be updated at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes via the forum’s announcement section and are responsible for reviewing and adhering to the current policy.
9. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

Information Sharing: If requested by law enforcement, the forum will provide relevant user information and transaction records to assist with investigations. Members are advised that their activities on the forum are subject to legal scrutiny and should conduct themselves accordingly.

Legal Requests: Any requests from law enforcement must be accompanied by the appropriate legal documentation, such as a subpoena or warrant. The forum will comply with all legal obligations in such matters.
10. Opt-Out Option

Right to Opt-Out: Members have the right to opt-out of the Firearm and Ammunition Classifieds category at any time.

Opt-Out Procedure: To opt-out, members must:
- Navigate to user Profile, Preferences tab, than Profile sub-tab, under Classifieds Policy Agree make sure you deselect Classifieds Policy Agree dropdown and select the default option, save your profile.

Data Retention: Upon opting out, the member’s active listings may be closed and archived, and their access to the classifieds category will be revoked. However, records of past transactions and communications will be retained in compliance with legal requirements and forum policies

Retroactive Policy Enforcement: Posts created in Classifieds categories may remain there even after opting out of this policy, the policy agreement stays in effect for all posts made by the author regardless of authors current policy agreement status.
- In example, if author explicitly agreed to this policy, gained access to and created a post in any category bound by this policy, any posts created by author are subject to this policy retroactively, even if author has voluntarily opted out of this policy after creating the post.

Reinstatement: Members who have opted out and wish to rejoin the classifieds category must agree to the Classifieds Policy in their User Profile.
11. Reporting Issues
- Contact Information: Members can report issues or seek clarification on this policy by contacting forum moderators through the private messaging system.
By participating in the Firearm and Ammunition Classifieds category, members agree to adhere to this policy and conduct themselves in a responsible, legal, and respectful manner. Violations can lead to removal from the classifieds and potential further action depending on the severity of the infraction.

Classifieds FAQ
Q: What is the difference between Misc. and Gun/Ammo Classifieds categories?
A: Simply put Misc. Classifieds are ONLY for items which are specifically NOT Firearms or Ammo.

General rules of thumb that should be followed:

If you need a valid permit to buy/sell an item or you need to transfer the item at an FFL, it belongs in the Guns/Ammo classifieds.

If you can order an item online and have it shipped to your house without permits, it belongs in Misc. classifieds.
Q: Does access to classifieds expire?
A: Access to the Classifieds category is permanent as long as your account continues to exist and is in good standing. Account loss, deletion or ban of your account will terminate your access to the Classifieds. Any user may request to opt-out of classifieds at any time, please review the Classifieds Policy in order to learn how to.
Q: Can access to Classifieds be revoked?
A: Yes, if you violated the Classifieds Policy, your access to Classifieds may be permanently revoked. Depending on severity, your account may be permanently banned as well.
Q: I posted in the Gun/Ammo Classifieds category, my post is now pending, why?
A: All new posts, regardless of user trust level or verification status, are automatically placed in a 48-hour review process. This gives Moderators a chance to review the post for Classifieds Policy violations.
Q: It’s been 48 hours and my post hasn’t been reviewed, what now?
A: Gun/Ammo Classifieds posts which are in review will automatically be approved by the system after 48-hours have passed. The post approval may be retroactively revoked by Staff at any time.
