Selling trading in Ammo

Sorry for the basic question, newbie. I own some 22LR ammo and no longer have a .22 gun currently. The ammo was stored ideally; I’m not sure my options are to sell trade-in. Or pick up a .22 pistol for range uses

Generally most if not all gun shops AFAIK will not take back ammo once its sold. Likely for liability reasons. You have some options. Sell the ammo (following the state law on ammo sales) to someone else in CT. Give the ammo away to someone else in CT. Buy another .22LR firearm and shoot the ammo in it at a range. Or just put it in the back of your ammo stash and forget about it.

Or just take it the range on your next range trip and offer it up at the range. Someone would likely take it off your hands.
