How would nyone be sble to go to these? what ever happened to making it easy for the public to show up? no way is nybody with a job n family going to make every hearing. Glad these fkers make it easy for themselves while getting paid.

They generally don’t want the public to see how the sausage is made or have input on that sausage making. Sure the rules say they have to have public hearings on proposed committee bills that the legislators want to advance but they intentionally don’t make the process easy. They announce the public hearing 3 to 5 days ahead of time and try to limit the amount of people who attend to avoid having hundreds show up to oppose their gun control like has happened in the past when they public hearing run till 4am in the morning and had to open up overflow rooms for all the people who opposed the bills. Also take note of how many legislators actually show up and participate in the public hearings. Some are MIA while others show up for a few minutes to get a media soundbite then leave.

I was there for the 4am in the morning one. I waited n waited and they didn’t call me up. Got there 8:30, some left wing looney pulled the fire alarm round 11 am ( I remember a hearing a group of them saying it was important they got in there for 11 - co winky dink?), saw lots of libprog nuts cutting the line like they were owed something, even seen a group get kick out for cutting the line - we all cheered, didn’t get in till 11:30. Went home and watched the last 30 minutes online and wouldn’t you know, fkrs, that’s when I heard my name being called. Little after that they ended.

I took the day off to go up for tomorrows. Not rich enough for all four days.
