Making this site viable

Does anyone know what happened to the old site? How can it be avoided? Is there a membership listing with emails that can be harvested? The old members need to know of a new address that they might be interested in. It would boost membership and keep things running

Nuke, owner of CTGunTalk passed away unexpectedly, domain and hosting lapsed so the page went down.

I ask people to share a link to CTGuns.org in any other social media groups, gun clubs, etc.
If we can get some decent engagement and member numbers, I think we have a good place to hold some conversations that are frowned upon by all of the other social media platforms, obviously excluding illegal, immoral and nasty shit.

I have the classifieds section done and working on the technical side, however I’m still not too sure on the legality of things, and would like to get some legal council first. As it stands it doesn’t make sense to spend $300-600 dollars on a lawyer with only roughly 140 members. So in the meantime I’d love to focus on growing the community a bit more.

Sorry to hear Mr. Nuke passed.

Archive dot org has some captures of the old forum that may be useful for reference.
