Building off an AR “ other” lower that was registered, could it be built into a .22 pistol utilizing an under 12” barrel and using a brace and still have AW features (threaded barrel )? I’m not sure with he goofy .22 restrictions .
Thanks

Are you asking about building a rimfire semiautomatic detachable magazine pistol? If so, no you cannot build one from an “other”. A semiautomatic pistol, barrel less than 12 inches, cannot have a detachable magazine outside the pistol grip. Cannot have a threaded barrel either on a semiautomatic detachable magazine pistol.
Sec. 53-202a. Assault weapons: Definitions.
(iv) A semiautomatic pistol that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least one of the following:
(I) An ability to accept a detachable ammunition magazine that attaches at some location outside of the pistol grip;
(II) A threaded barrel capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward pistol grip or silencer;
(III) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel and that permits the shooter to fire the firearm without being burned, except a slide that encloses the barrel; or
(IV) A second hand grip;
Correct, that’s what I was asking . Thank you. That’s unfortunate. What about keeping it in “other” configuration (12”+ .22 barrel ) , or a .22 upper on an SBR’d lower ?
I can’t wait to get out of this state.
