Bill would amend Sec. 29-30. Fees for permits for sale at retail of firearms and for carrying of pistols and revolvers. Expiration and renewal of permits to include the following language in subsection (e):

or (2) the local permitting authority fails to discharge any obligation applicable to such local permitting authority pursuant to subdivision (1) of subsection (b) of section 29-28a or subsection (b) or (c) of section 29-29 within the applicable time limits established under said subdivision or subsection, in which case the local permitting authority shall refund seventy dollars to the applicant.

Obviously it would remain to be seen how hard it will be (and the actual process) for one to get their fee refunded when the locals purposefully, routinely, and for decades have ignored the eight week time frame to approve or deny the temporary pistol permit application.
