The Pistol Permit Tracking project was created to allow any CT resident to quickly and easily check how long the process takes to get their 30-day temporary pistol permit at their town of residence.
The project relies on crowdsourced data, therefore it should be assumed that it is NOT accurate and should only be used for illustrative purposes.
Contributing to the project
Contributing to the project can currently only be done over at our Reddit community.
In order to contribute to the project yourself, you will need to meet certain criteria, you will need to be a member of the subreddit and have at least 200 combined karma.
If you do not meet the criteria, you can reach out directly to the subreddit mods and provide the data for manual submission.
The data you need to submit the form:
- Town in which you applied for a 30-day temporary Pistol Permit
- Date on which you submitted the application.
- Date on which the 30-day temporary pistol permit application was approved by your town (Important! This date is only the date on which you picked up you temporary permit, NOT the state issued one!).
