Assault Weapon Certificate - Approvals

Please post your AW approvals here in this topic/discussion!

People are continually asking if anyone has been approved in the /r/ctguns subreddit.

From May:
It appears at least one person is reporting receiving their Assault Weapon Certificate approval by email. See this reddit post. They indicate they submitted last September.

Edit to add: Supposedly the email the person on reddit received:

2024 AW Registration

Going to be a whole year in a few months with people not getting their certificates. What a farce this is.

Got one of my AWC applications approved last night at 8:30. It was mailed in April 29th 2024.

I should add its my only mailed in application.

I did the online form in April before the deadline. Received the form confirmation but nothing else yet.

Same here, nothing from my online applications still.

2026 and still people are waiting. What a joke this all was. Money wasted and they want more registration?! LMAO they can’t even get this sorted out.

Kind of wild that mostly the needle hasn’t moved on the AW Cert front. Now they want to do the same with cruciform pistols, it will be an even bigger cluster fuck. Oh and let’s throw in barrel/cylinder/slide transfers in there as well. Wild.

Currently there isn’t language to reclassify cruciform pistols as assault weapons. Rather they are just banning the importation/sale/transfer of them while allowing possession of them. In time the next logical step for them is to just go ahead and reclassify them as assault weapons, but for now they haven’t.

What will add a lot of paperwork for SLFU will be the desire by democrats to reclassify slides, barrels and cylinders as firearms. That means DPS-3-C’s filed for each of them, and possibly two or more DPS-3-C’s filed for each part of a full firearm when a full firearm is sold. Never mind having to serialize the barrel, slide or cylinder when it’s sold including when a full firearm is sold.

Next will be what RI is trying to do and ban every single one that was grandfathered in. You know the democrats are drooling over that here in CT and wished they had done it first.
